1. Overview
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your purchase and use of the SentinelID identity and trust platform, including the SentinelID hardware device, companion software, and related APIs (collectively, the "Service"), provided by C Squared Solutions LLC, doing business as SentinelID ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account, purchasing a device, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. What the Service Does
SentinelID provides hardware-anchored identity verification and reputation signals for online games and communities. When you connect your SentinelID device and play on a participating game server, the Service confirms that a verified, unique identity is present and shares a verification result and associated trust signals with that server, server operator, tournament organizer, or game publisher (collectively, "Participating Operators"). You acknowledge and agree that using the Service necessarily involves sharing your verification status and reputation signals with Participating Operators, as described in our Privacy Policy.
The Service provides an identity and reputation signal. It is not a guarantee that any given player is or is not cheating, and it does not itself detect cheats. Participating Operators decide how to act on the signals we provide.
3. The SentinelID Device
- Each device contains a cryptographic key provisioned at manufacture that anchors a single, persistent identity. Device keys are permanent and are not rotated.
- The device is intended for use by one person. You agree not to share, sell, lend, or transfer your device or identity to another person.
- You agree not to tamper with, reverse-engineer, clone, or attempt to extract keys from the device, or to circumvent or interfere with the verification process.
- You are responsible for keeping your device secure. Report a lost or stolen device promptly so it can be flagged.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Operate more than one identity, or attempt to evade a ban, suspension, or negative reputation by using another identity or device.
- Use, or help others use, the Service to circumvent enforcement actions taken by any Participating Operator.
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or those of any Participating Operator.
- Resell or redistribute access to the Service without authorization, or use it in a manner that could damage, disable, or impair our infrastructure.
5. Reputation and Enforcement
The Service maintains a persistent record of verification activity and reputation, which may include bans, suspensions, ban-evasion flags, and repeat-offender status reported by Participating Operators. This record follows your identity across the network. Conduct on one Participating Operator's platform may affect the trust signals shared with others. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service for violations of these Terms.
6. Purchases, Pricing, and Hardware
All prices are listed in US Dollars (USD). Payment is processed securely through Stripe or PayPal. You are responsible for any applicable taxes. The SentinelID device is sold subject to the warranty and return terms presented at the point of sale. Title and risk of loss for hardware pass to you upon delivery.
7. Refunds
Refund eligibility is described at the point of sale. Hardware that has been activated and bound to an identity may be subject to a restocking fee or may be non-refundable, as disclosed at checkout. Defective hardware is handled under the applicable warranty.
8. Service Availability
We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind except those that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
9. Intellectual Property
The Service, including all hardware design, firmware, code, documentation, and branding, is the intellectual property of C Squared Solutions LLC. Your purchase grants you a limited license to use the Service, not ownership of any intellectual property.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, C Squared Solutions LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, and our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
11. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, if higher) to use the Service. The Service is not directed to children under that age.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or by notice on this page. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
